As we wrap up the 2021 graduation season, I am thrilled to know that our graduation rate which has risen over each of the last few years, continued to increase even during the COVID 19 pandemic. This is a true testament to the dedication of our faculty, students, and families.
Being a part of the 2021 commencement ceremonies for Liberty, Issaquah, Skyline and Gibson Ek High Schools brought back memories of another graduation that really touched my heart. As a relatively new Board Member, in June 2019 I was invited to speak at the Liberty High School graduation ceremony. I was honored to be invited to speak to the young graduates and share wisdom and words of encouragement. This was an emotional moment for me. To witness the culmination of so much hard work and commitment coming together as these young people took a big step into adulthood. It is a day I will long remember.
