(Issaquah, Washington, May 17, 2021)

Sydne Mullings is pleased to announce her bid for re-election to the Issaquah School Board for District 4 this coming November. “I would love your support as I look to leverage the experiences I have gained over the last two years to continue the important work of providing exceptional educational experiences for all students.”

Ms. Mullings was elected to the Issaquah School Board in 2019.  “Throughout this unprecedented pandemic, my commitment to listening to differing perspectives and making difficult decisions has been strengthened. My goal is to leverage these experiences to ensure that we retain and reuse all that we have learned and emerge stronger as we return to a fully operational system.”

Ms. Mullings and her family moved to Issaquah in 2014. She immediately became involved in community service and supporting local youth. She presently serves as a Board Member for After School All-stars – Puget Sound, an organization that provides programming for at-risk middle school youth in the Renton, Kent and Tukwila school districts.

Technology is also a passion for Ms. Mullings.  She holds a Master of Science Degree in Human-Computer Interaction from DePaul University, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in International Politics from Penn State University and has spent the last 20 years working in the Healthcare, Financial Services, and Professional Services industries. In Ms. Mullings’ professional career, she has held roles in enterprise consulting, large scale program management and people management. Currently, Ms. Mullings works as General Manager responsible for leading the Central Marketing Organization for Microsoft US.   “I have significant experience in partnering with others in helping them to identify new opportunities and evaluate potential solutions to help reach goals. I would value the opportunity to continue to leverage this experience with the Issaquah School District.”

The Issaquah School District serves students in Issaquah, Bellevue, Sammamish, Newcastle, Renton and Unincorporated King County. The School Board Elections will be held Tuesday, November 2nd, 2019.
